GII Hands-on Training Workshop 1.0
Emerging Tools for Multi-omics Big Data Analysis
Date: November 2nd – 6th, 2026
Mode: Online / Virtual Platform
Timings: 09:00 – 17:00 IST daily
Workshop Overview
Translate biological complexity into actionable global solutions.
In the current era of big data, high-throughput multi-omics integration has moved from a specialized research tool to the absolute frontier of life sciences. This intensive, 5-day virtual hands-on training workshop is engineered to empower researchers, faculty, and industry professionals with the advanced computational competencies required to master end-to-end processing of complex datasets. By bridging the genotype-to-phenotype gap, participants will gain the skills necessary to drive breakthroughs across three critical pillars of modern bio-science:
- Agriculture & Climate Resilience: Accelerating the development of next-generation crop ideotypes. Mastery of genomic and transcriptomic workflows is essential for precision breeding, characterizing pest-disease-abiotic resistance mechanisms, nutritional enhancement, and engineering climate-resilient crops to safeguard global food security.
- Veterinary Science & One Health: Unravelling complex host-pathogen interactions, zoonotic disease transmission vectors, and livestock genetic enhancement. Multi-omics proficiency allows researchers to decode animal immune responses at single-cell resolution, leading to better diagnostic tools, superior vaccine technologies, and sustainable animal production strategies.
- Modern Precision Medicine: Driving the shift toward personalized healthcare and targeted therapeutics. Understanding single-cell heterogeneity, spatial transcriptomics, and mass spectrometry data is foundational for discovering novel biomarkers, mapping tumor microenvironments, identifying rare cellular clones, and accelerating the development of fully human monoclonal antibodies.
Why This Workshop Is Vital Right Now
Raw multi-omics data is expanding exponentially, but the computational capacity to analyse it remains a critical bottleneck. This workshop directly bridges that gap by moving beyond isolated data silos.
By mastering integrated pipelines, you will transform raw sequencing, proteomic, and spatial architecture data into predictive biological models, positioning your research at the absolute forefront of international science.
